The best daily spot-the-difference games online are Shockwave's Spot The Difference Daily and iWin's Daily Difference, each a fresh pair of pictures with ten differences every day, and two dedicated sites, SpotDiffs and SpotDiff, add daily puzzles of their own. For a daily observation puzzle beyond differences, Daily SNOOP and iWin's Daily Hidden Object hide a list of objects in a new scene each day, and every game here played free in a browser when we checked in September 2026.
The daily version of spot the difference is a small ritual: one pair of pictures, a clock, and a leaderboard of people who were faster than you. Search for it and many results turn out to be the same few games on different sites, some of which want an email address before you can play. This list names the originals, says who asks for what, and ends with a game where the differences are evidence rather than decoration.
The list at a glance
| Game | What you do | Minutes | Link |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spot The Difference Daily | Find 10 differences between two photos | 2 to 5 | shockwave.com |
| Daily Difference | Find 10 differences; under 90 seconds earns a bonus | About 2 | iwin.com |
| SpotDiffs Daily Challenge | One dated puzzle a day, with a daily champion | Under 5 | spotdiffs.com |
| SpotDiff | A new AI-generated scene every day, checked by a person | About 5 | spotdiffdaily.com |
| Daily SNOOP | Find the listed objects in the day's scene | 5 to 10 | shockwave.com |
| Daily Hidden Object | Find 16 items, one of them a timed bonus | 5 to 10 | iwin.com |
| TimeGuessr | Read five photos for place and year | 5 to 10 | timeguessr.com |
Minutes are our rough estimate for an ordinary day, not a figure the games publish. The clock-based games reward speed, so the fastest players finish far sooner.
Classic spot the difference, one pair a day
Spot The Difference Daily (Shockwave)
Shockwave's own daily: two photos side by side and ten differences to click. A hint costs 30 seconds and a wrong click costs 10, which keeps the leaderboard honest, and the top of that leaderboard is measured in seconds. It played without an account when we checked; a subscription unlocks the full archive of past days.
Daily Difference (iWin)
Listed on iWin since 2015, it dates each puzzle and gives it a name (a sundae scene on the day we checked). Find all ten differences inside 90 seconds for a time bonus; a wrong click costs 5 seconds, and a hint costs 30 and the perfect bonus. It is free with ads, which iWin will switch off for an upgrade or its own coins.
SpotDiffs
A site built around spot the difference, with a dated Daily Challenge (four differences for double points on the easy day we checked) and a daily champion, next to a library of levels for adults and for children. Its puzzles played without an account.
SpotDiff
A newer site whose scenes are generated by AI and, by its own account, reviewed by a person before release, so the differences sit on real objects rather than empty background. A new puzzle drops every day, and it says it is built for the same five-minute rhythm as Wordle.
You will also see The Epoch Times in these results. It hosts a version of Spot the Difference Daily with the same penalties, plus Daily Difference and a daily hidden-object game, but on the pages we opened it asked for a free account, meaning an email address, before play. The Shockwave game also runs on Addicting Games, Shockwave's sister site.
Daily hidden-object games
Daily SNOOP (Shockwave)
A new scene every day and a list of objects to find in it, developed by The Article 19 Group. Finishing without hints earns extra tokens and trophies, and a Collage variant hides random objects among random objects.
Daily Hidden Object (iWin)
Sixteen items in each day's scene, one of them a timed bonus item; play without hints for the Perfect Bonus. On the day we checked, the scene was an Egyptian junk store, which is the genre in one line: a cluttered room and a shopping list.
Observation beyond differences
TimeGuessr
If you like the looking more than the clicking, this is the next step: five photographs a day, each placed on the world map and in a year. The evidence is the kind a spot-the-difference habit trains you to see, such as cars, clothes, signs, and buildings, but now every detail has to mean something.
We gathered more dailies for the eye, including film stills and paintings, in our list of daily puzzle games like Wordle that aren't word games.
When the differences mean something
Daily Holmes works the idea from the other end. Its twin-image format shows two versions of the same room with a few quiet changes, and finding them is only half the case; the other half is saying what they reveal about the person who made them. It is one format in a daily rotation, so it does not come up every day, and the rest are on the modes page. We make Daily Holmes.
How to get faster at spot the difference
- Work in strips, not at random. Compare the two pictures band by band, left to right, so every region gets one honest look.
- Check three kinds of change. Something added or removed, something recolored, something moved or resized. Naming the categories stops you from looking only for the first.
- Count repeated things. Stripes on an awning, buttons on a coat, books on a shelf: a changed count is easy to miss by eye and easy to catch by counting.
- Give the edges the same attention as the middle. Corners, backgrounds, and the space around the main subject hold differences too.
- Do not guess against the clock. On Shockwave's daily a wrong click costs 10 seconds, more than a moment of checking.
The skill underneath is attention, and it trains like any other. Our guide to improving your attention to detail and the Kim's Game memory drill are good next steps.

Is there a free daily spot the difference game online?
Yes. Shockwave's Spot The Difference Daily and iWin's Daily Difference both post a new pair of pictures every day with ten differences to find, and SpotDiffs has a dated Daily Challenge. All three played free in a browser, without an account, when we checked in September 2026.
What is a good observation puzzle game to play daily?
For pure looking, a daily spot-the-difference or hidden-object game: Daily SNOOP and iWin's Daily Hidden Object both hide a list of objects in a new scene every day. For observation with reasoning attached, TimeGuessr asks you to place five photographs on the map and in time.
Do I need an account to play daily spot the difference?
Not on Shockwave, iWin, or SpotDiffs, where the daily puzzles played without signing in. The Epoch Times hosts versions of the same games but asked for a free account before play. Some sites sell ad removal or access to past puzzles.
How do you get better at spot the difference?
Work through the pictures in strips instead of at random, check for three kinds of change (added or removed, recolored, moved or resized), count repeated things, and give the edges and background the same attention as the middle. A daily puzzle supplies the steady practice that makes the habit stick.
